I graduated from high school in 1998, then enrolled in Dutchess Community College while working a 12-hour night shift at IBM. In 2000, I transferred to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where I would ultimately earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Management in 2003.

I worked in a corporate environment for fifteen years, with companies such as IBM, AFLAC, and Bank of America.  I retired from my large company life in August 2011 to start small companies, non-profit ventures, and work on personal projects.

  • Responsible for projecting and reporting $743MM of in-year insurance businessesHigh Deductible Healthcare (HSA, FSA, HRA), Credit Protection, and Mortgage Protection
  • Managed a team of three Senior Financial Analysts for the Financial Protection Services (FPS) division
  • Built a complex, single-source system for all financial data managed by FPS finance
  • Improved job satisfaction from a high turnover rate to 100% retention during my tenure


  • Built predictive financial models and reports for bank executives
  • Automated processes and reports to save 90% of manual Excel work
  • Consolidated insurance financial data; allowed for uniformity across reports and minimized errors
  • Developed sales incentive tracking system which saved the company $100K in time and resources




  • Created 50-state workers’ comp self-insurance feasibility study
  • Assisted in meetings with various states’ insurance regulators
